When you swipe out of a program, you actually do not close it, you just leave it idle in the background.

To initialize the Task Manager in an iOS device (iPhone, iPod or iPad) just log in the device and double click the lone button bottom center. This shows a list of all recent program. Simply swipe the program up and off the screen to truly terminate it. Doing so save battery life and allows it to run cooler. Since no Apple product comes with a removable battery, extending your battery’s life could save you hundreds in repairs costs.
