Comp-Busters! Just kidding, but what do you do if your computer freezes and you need to force end a program? Both Mac and Windows have their own special keystroke combination to allow you to end a task. These work even when nothing else seems to respond, unless the computer is truly 100% frozen. In that case, all you can really do is force it off.<\/p>\n<p>Mac:<span class=\"text_exposed_show\"><br \/>\nYou want to force quit an application. Hit &#8220;alt&#8221; &#8211; &#8220;apple&#8221; &#8211; &#8220;esc&#8221; or &#8220;Command&#8221; and &#8220;Option&#8221; and &#8220;Escape&#8221; keys.<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"text_exposed_show\">\n<p>Windows:<br \/>\npress CTL+ALT+DEL at the same time. This brings up a menu with a few options including &#8220;change password,&#8221; &#8220;lock computer&#8221; and the task manager.
